Đurić and Kombos Discuss Further Strengthening the Friendship between Serbia and Cyprus
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Marko Đurić met today in New York, on the margins of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus Constantinos Kombos.
Đurić emphasised that Serbia takes great pride in the long-standing friendship and close bonds between the two countries and their peoples, noting that relations between Serbia and Cyprus are underpinned by mutual understanding, respect and support.
Noting that there are no outstanding issues between Serbia and Cyprus, Đurić highlighted the well-developed political dialogue at all levels and expressed his expectation that Minister Kombos would visit Serbia in the period ahead.
The two Ministers also exchanged views on current geopolitical and regional developments, with particular attention devoted to the possibility of reviving meetings in trilateral formats, which have proven to be a valuable mechanism for deepening political dialogue, exchanging views on issues of common interest and advancing practical cooperation.
